Hi there, I am looking to buy a used Brompton 6 speed to take touring and am find it difficult at the moment. I was wondering if you were interested in selling any of yours or new of any good places to buy a used one. Thanks

Sorry Ben, you’ve probably already noticed that the Australian used Brompton market is slender & I suspect your hopes of finding a good condition 6-speed for touring are minimal. Retained value & recent price reductions (since the local distributor system was implemented) probably mean older Bromptons won’t be cheap? I think the current Brompton supply chain would be the best bet for obtaining exactly what you want in a short time?
My original used P3R Brompton was a bargain price but after upgrades into an M6R the personal value (learning experience, spare bike, test bed, etc) is equivalent to a new bike (albeit with a little wear & tear that will need attention some time).

Thanks Melea, I’ll leave that one to you – another M-style here probably wouldn’t be appreciated?
